Sasaeng fans, or stalker fans, are known for crossing boundaries and invading the private lives of K-pop idols. ENHYPEN has unfortunately dealt with this problem several times, and recently, member Jay faced it again — this time live in front of fans. While chatting with ENGENEs on Weverse on October 10, Jay received repeated phone calls from someone who had somehow gotten hold of his personal number.

At first, he tried to ignore it, but the nonstop calls became too distracting. Even though the live was being streamed from the company’s phone and not his own, Jay could still see the calls coming in. After canceling the calls several times, he decided he had enough and spoke up directly.

He looked straight into the camera and said, “You’re still watching this, right? I don’t know who you are, and I don’t even care. But if you keep calling me like this, it’s really bothering me. You’re wasting my time that I could be spending talking with my fans. So congratulations if you got what you wanted.”

Then, his tone grew more serious as he warned the caller of what he would do if it continued. “If you keep doing this, I’ll answer your call and put it on speaker so everyone can hear it live. If that’s what you want, keep going.”

Jay apologized to fans for the interruption and quickly moved on, doing his best not to let the situation ruin the mood of the livestream. Fans praised him for handling the incident calmly but firmly, calling out the inappropriate behavior while still showing professionalism and care toward his true supporters.
