YouTube streamer IShowSpeed has managed to do something no one expected, he’s now one of the biggest names on IMDB, even ranking above Hollywood icons like Leonardo DiCaprio.
Many online creators have made the jump from streaming to acting over the years. Some have appeared in TV shows, movies, or even ads. But Speed’s rise on IMDB happened in a completely different way, thanks to his fans.
On October 21, IShowSpeed’s supporters decided to list one of his famous live streams, called Early Stream, as a “TV show” on IMDB. The listing instantly blew up, with fans flooding it with high ratings. Within hours, it became the top-rated piece of content on the entire platform, beating out legendary shows like Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, and The Sopranos.
After that, fans started adding even more of his popular broadcasts, collaborations, and awards to his IMDB profile. They included his work with Kai Cenat, The Sidemen, and even his moments in WWE, as well as his music videos.
All this activity pushed him to the fourth spot on IMDB’s list of most popular celebrities. That means he’s currently ahead of Leonardo DiCaprio, Glen Powell, Jeremy Allen White, and Keira Knightley. The only names above him right now are Charlie Hunnam, Rebecca Ferguson, and McKenna Grace.
While his sudden climb might not last forever, it shows just how massive and loyal IShowSpeed’s fanbase is. Even after his Early Stream listing was removed, fans continue to find creative ways to make sure his name stays shining among Hollywood’s biggest stars.
