As of March 2026, filming for the fourth and final season of the Showtime/Paramount+ series began in Vancouver in late February 2026 and is scheduled to be completed in summer 2026. Official announcements show a target premiere date of late 2026 (likely Fall or Winter, from October to December). Exact premiere date yet to be determined.

Yellowjackets’ fourth season will NOT be released in April 2026.

Yellowjackets Season 4: Current updates

Official confirmation from Showtime/Paramount+ that Season 4 is the final season of Yellowjackets was made in October 2025. Production will take place in 2026 for a late 2026 release date.

All major media outlets, including Bloody Disgusting, TV Guide, Radio Times, Variety, and Deadline, report the same release timeframe of late 2026, consistent with the show’s previous seasons (5+ months after filming ends for post-production).

As of today, there are no confirmed announcements or credible sources that support a release date of April 2026. One site has listed an unverified October 2026 release date, which again does not equal April or has any Major Media source to support this date.

It’s too early to tell how long it will be before there will be a time frame set between the start of filming and its premiere on Paramount+/Showtime in April 2026, as this is when the editing, special effects (if necessary), marketing, etc., will take place. Look for more details, including a video trailer, as the actual premiere date (sometime in late 2026) gets closer.

If you happen to be a fan of this series, some of the new cast members, like Molly Ringwald and June Squibb, will be appearing in what is supposed to be the final season, which should end in a “twisted way.”

Be on the lookout for any new updates by checking the official Paramount+/Showtime channels!
