Netflix has confirmed that Season 5, the series’s final season, will debut sometime in 2026. However, a specific release date (or even a month or quarter) has yet to be revealed by Netflix.

However, The Witcher Season 5 will not be released in April 2026.

Netflix announced the official 2026 start date in their early January 2026 online Tudum “What’s Coming in 2026” guide. Several outlets have reported that a late 2026 release (e.g., fall) is a possibility due to anticipated post-production schedules after filming ended in early fall 2025; however, there has not been any confirmed information regarding a season 5 release date at this time.

As of now, there have been no reports, confirmations, or verified sources regarding the April 2026 release date for Season 5. Seasons 1–4 of The Witcher were released in the summer and fall months (e.g., Season 4 premiered on October 30, 2025); therefore, it would be unusual for the final season to have a spring release. However, given how often Netflix has confirmed release dates through their official channels, this should not be completely ruled out.

Seasons 4 and 5 were filmed back-to-back, featuring Liam Hemsworth as Geralt, Freya Allan as Ciri, and Anya Chalotra as Yennefer. The synopsis for Season 5 indicates that Geralt, Yennefer, and others will face significant threats across the Continent.

Netflix usually releases a more specific release date (or trailers) as the premiere date approaches; therefore, it’s recommended to check their Tudum website and official Witcher channels for updates.
