Penn Badgley took a moment on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon (May 1) to correct a long-standing rumor about his four-year-old son’s name — and to share some exciting baby news.

The You and Gossip Girl actor revealed that contrary to popular belief, his son’s name is not James. “This is a very weird thing to say,” Badgley admitted, “but our littlest, who is four… his name is not James.”

He explained that the confusion began when Wikipedia falsely listed his son’s name, and despite repeated corrections, the misinformation kept reappearing. “Even friends would send cards to ‘all of us and James,’” he said with a laugh.

While clearing the air, Badgley did not disclose the actual name, saying he and his wife, Domino Kirke, prefer to keep it private while their son is still young. “It’s a good name,” he added with a smile.

That wasn’t the only family update—Badgley also announced that he and Kirke are expecting identical twin boys this summer. He described the experience as “thrilling” and said it’s been a heartwarming reality check.

As an only child himself, Badgley said it’s moving to watch the twins interacting in the womb. “They looked like they were in a hot tub,” he joked about a recent sonogram, “just vibing and facing each other.”

The growing family is already buzzing with excitement. Their four-year-old is ready to step into the role of big brother, while Kirke’s older son, Cassius (16), is also happy — though he joked that he still plans to move out in two years.

With more babies on the way and a clarified family record, it’s safe to say Penn Badgley is embracing both fatherhood and fame on his own terms.
