The Korean Business Research Institute has unveiled its latest brand reputation rankings for rising stars, highlighting the fresh faces currently capturing attention in South Korea’s entertainment world. These rankings are based on data collected between May 30 and June 30, analyzing media coverage, fan engagement, online interactions, and overall buzz. This month’s results show some major shifts, with several entertainers seeing noticeable jumps in popularity.
Topping the list is actor Byeon Woo Seok, who has firmly held on to the No. 1 spot. His growing fame, largely driven by the hit drama Lovely Runner, has pushed his brand reputation index to 3,854,725. After years of playing supporting roles, Byeon’s recent success has made him one of the most talked-about stars. Fans are now looking forward to his next big project, Wife of a 21st Century Prince, where he’ll star alongside singer-actress IU.
Close behind in second place is Jung Jun Won, known for his role in Resident Playbook. His brand index reached 3,481,037, marking a steady rise of 10.52% from the previous month. His growing popularity suggests he’s becoming a consistent favorite among fans and media alike.
One of the biggest surprises this month came from actor Choo Young Woo. He made a dramatic leap to third place, with his brand reputation index jumping by 165.13% to 2,584,980. This surge signals a breakthrough moment for the rising star, who appears to be catching the public eye in a major way.
In fourth place is rookie boy group TWS, who made an impressive mark with a score of 2,421,831—a 47.38% increase from the month before. The group’s upward trend shows strong support from fans and growing recognition in the industry. Veteran band DAY6 rounded out the top five with a brand reputation index of 2,394,802, proving their lasting impact and continued relevance.
Other notable names in the top 10 include actress Go Yoon Jung, singer Car the Garden, K-pop artist KiiiKiii, actress Park Ji Hyeon, and idol group Stray Kids. These artists reflect a broad mix of genres and backgrounds, from solo musicians to idol groups and drama actors.
Further down the rankings, soloist BIBI, actor Lee Jun Hyuk, K-pop group ENHYPEN, and the newly debuted girl group KATSEYE also made noticeable entries. Their presence highlights just how diverse and dynamic the pool of rising talent in the Korean entertainment scene has become.
