The lack of information surrounding Intel’s Battlemage graphics cards has been a cause for concern lately, leaving enthusiasts eagerly awaiting any news on these next-gen GPUs. However, a recent leak has provided some insight into the upcoming 2nd-gen products, following closely on the heels of a previous leak.
The latest leak, shared by @momomo_us on X (formerly Twitter), includes details from hardware shipment manifests, one of which specifically mentions Battlemage, the successor to Intel’s Alchemist GPUs. Within the manifest are two desktop Battlemage (Xe2-HPG) graphics cards, identified with the codenames BMG-G10 and BMG-G21.
The designation of G10 may sound familiar to those with a keen memory, as rumors about this GPU circulated in 2023, suggesting it would serve as the ‘enthusiast’ level offering for Battlemage, boasting impressive performance capabilities. Despite earlier speculation of its cancellation at the start of 2024, the presence of G10 in the shipment manifest has reignited excitement among gamers hopeful for a potent addition to Intel’s Battlemage lineup.
However, while the reappearance of G10 is intriguing, the exact GPU behind the codename remains unknown. Nevertheless, the leaks surrounding Battlemage, coupled with recent activity, offer a glimmer of hope that these GPUs may still debut before the end of 2024.
Amidst these leaks, there have been speculations that Intel’s 2nd-gen Arc products might not hit the market until 2025, or potentially even later. Nonetheless, the possibility of Battlemage’s arrival before the year’s end persists, as hinted by recent rumors. This ongoing anticipation underscores the excitement surrounding Intel’s upcoming graphics card lineup and the eager anticipation among enthusiasts for their eventual release.
