Rogan found that the strict carnivore diet made it challenging to maintain his intense exercise regimen due to a perceived lack of energy. He later incorporated fruits into his diet to counteract this issue and enhance his workout performance.

In subsequent years, Rogan continued his carnivore diet practice, sharing updates on his social media about the challenges and adjustments he faced during the dietary transition. He detailed how the initial weeks without carbohydrates significantly affected his workout performance, prompting him to consider including fruits in his diet to ease the adaptation period. Rogan also expressed his preference for elk meat, often sourced through his hunting expeditions, highlighting his satisfaction in knowing the origin of the meat in his freezer.

While Rogan found some benefits in the carnivore diet, such as improved energy and potential skincare improvements, he also encountered drawbacks, notably gastrointestinal discomfort and challenges in maintaining his exercise intensity, leading him to modify his dietary approach to suit his fitness goals.
