The names Jodi Hildebrandt and Ruby Franke have become deeply entwined with a harrowing child abuse case that captured national attention for several years.
The troubling revelations surrounding Franke, a mother of six known for her family-oriented YouTube channel, began to surface in 2023. Despite years of uploading content, concerns about abusive behavior emerged as early as 2020, prompting alarm among some of her 2.5 million subscribers. The situation escalated until Franke and her business partner, Jodi Hildebrandt, were arrested in 2023 on charges of aggravated child abuse.
Following their arrest, both women were convicted and sentenced to jail time for six counts of aggravated child abuse. Hildebrandt received a sentence ranging from four to thirty years in prison, leaving behind the house where the children endured unimaginable torment.
In February 2024, Hildebrandt’s residence, where several of Franke’s children were subjected to abuse, was put up for sale at a staggering price. The house, located in Ivins, Utah, gained notoriety after a 12-year-old boy bravely escaped through a window, triggering a police investigation that uncovered the extent of the abuse inflicted by Hildebrandt and Franke.
The luxurious yet sinister property, valued at nearly $5 million, boasts four bedrooms, three and a half baths, and over nine thousand square feet of space on an expansive acre and a half lot. Despite its outward charm, the home served as a facade for the concealed abuse, with imposing steel fences and gates restricting access, plain sturdy walls, and large, scenic windows that shielded the horrors within.
While the home’s design facilitated the concealment of abuse, it now serves as a macabre attraction for prospective buyers, particularly those with an interest in true crime. Despite efforts to erase all traces of the atrocities that occurred within its walls, the house remains tainted by its dark past, forever linked to the tragic events that unfolded there.
