After going through a long list of BTS songs, V finally revealed his all-time favorite. Surprisingly, he picked the 2016 track Save Me over all others, including his own solo songs. Around midnight on September 12, Kim Taehyung hosted an audio-only livestream, running a sort of Best BTS Song World Cup. He clicked through dozens of tracks the group has released over their 13-year career and, in the end, crowned Save Me as the winner.

The decision came after a fan suggested he do a BTS Song World Cup on Weverse. V loved the idea and decided to try it during the live session. He went online, found a platform, and started clicking through songs, sharing his thoughts and praising his bandmates’ voices along the way. He went through both old classics and newer hits, sometimes hesitating between nostalgic tracks and the more recent ones that have millions of streams. He didn’t shy away from picking BTS group tracks over his own solo work, like Winter Bear, showing how much he values the group’s music.

Some songs had strong runs in the competition. Jungkook’s 2018 solo, Euphoria, made it far and even beat fan favorites like Young Forever from 2016. But eventually, V’s affection for Dimple edged it out in the quarter-finals.

The final round came down to Save Me and Mikrokosmos. Mikrokosmos, released in 2019, is known for bringing pure joy to BTS concerts and is loved by fans worldwide. Still, V went with Save Me, surprising everyone but making it clear that this song holds a special place in his heart.
