Starting this Wednesday, high school softball teams from all over Wisconsin will compete for the state championship title.
The 49th Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) State Softball Tournament will run from Wednesday to Saturday at Goodman Diamond, which is located on the University of Wisconsin campus in Madison.
There are five divisions in the tournament. It’s a single-elimination format, meaning if a team loses a game, they’re out of the tournament.
-
Division I will have 8 teams competing.
-
Divisions 2, 3, 4, and 5 will each have 4 teams.
In each session of games, the second game will begin around 30 minutes after the first one ends.
