Grow a Garden has added lots of new crafting recipes for pets, plants, gears, and cosmetics. Among these, the gear crafting station now has a new pet mutation shard called the Forger. This shard is foggy white and is very helpful for speeding up crafting during the Smithing event.
To get the Forger pet mutation shard, you need to craft it at the gear crafting station while the Smithing event is active. First, collect all the required ingredients. You will need one Gem Egg, which you can craft at the pet crafting station or buy from the Pet Egg shop. Then you need one Legendary Coal, which is obtained by submitting legendary fruits, pets, or gear during the Smithing event. You also need one Cleansing Pet Shard, which is available in the gear shop, and 15 million Sheckles, which you can earn by selling higher rarity fruits.
Once you have everything, go to the gear crafting station and interact with it. Find the Forger pet shard and select the Craft button. Submit all ingredients at once, pay the required Sheckles, and the crafting will begin. It takes one hour to complete, and then you can collect the shard.
Using the Forger pet mutation shard on any pet gives it a special passive ability. The pet can go to an active crafting table and reduce the crafting time by about 44.74 seconds. This is especially useful if you are actively participating in the Smithing event since crafting rarer items can take a long time.
While the Forger mutation does not affect plants, it’s a big time-saver for pets during the event. Once the event ends, you can remove it if you don’t need it anymore.
