Merlin is more powerful in Fisch now. He can give special buffs and point you to hidden items. His updates also include a new Mineshaft, but getting there requires a few steps.
To enter the Chasm, you first need Merlin’s Veil. You get it by completing Merlin’s Quest. Give all the colored shards to Merlin. Talk to him, and every 30 minutes, a Rift opens. Go into it, collect a shard, and give it to Merlin.
After giving all the shards, talk to Merlin and choose “I need to enter The Chasm.” He will give you the Merlin’s Veil buff, which lasts for five minutes. This lets you enter the Chasm. To find it faster, go behind Merlin in the Ocean and use these coordinates: -855.8, 125.2, -971.1.
The Veil only lasts five minutes. You can see the countdown above your XP bar. After it expires, you need to wait 30 minutes before getting it again. Once inside the Mineshaft, you can stay as long as you like.
