Nick Jonas recently opened up on Andy Cohen’s radio show about the joys of parenting his 3-year-old daughter, Malti Marie. The proud dad celebrated Malti’s newest achievement—earning her first striped belt in karate—and revealed how she’s already showing a natural love for music.
“She’s three, in nursery school, and just got her first striped belt,” Nick said with a smile. He also sweetly called their daughter “the best duet” he and Priyanka Chopra could ever have, highlighting the couple’s deep connection despite Priyanka’s busy filming schedule in India.
Nick previously told The Kelly Clarkson Show that while Malti loves to sing, her future in entertainment is completely up to her. “Entertainment is a wonderful career, but it’s also scary as a parent. Your job is to protect your kids, but also to let them fly,” he said. He added with a chuckle that Malti isn’t a fan of soccer, despite their efforts.
Since welcoming Malti via surrogacy in January 2022, Nick and Priyanka have focused on providing a loving and supportive home where their daughter can explore her interests freely—whether that’s karate, music, or something entirely different.
No matter what path Malti chooses, her superstar parents will be there to cheer her on every step of the way.
