The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has officially revealed the latest group of honorees who will receive stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. This year’s announcement includes a total of 35 names spanning five major entertainment categories: motion pictures, television, live theatre/live performance, recording, and sports entertainment. The announcement, shared via the Walk of Fame Selection Panel’s Instagram account, has garnered widespread attention, with several honorees already reacting to the news, including global music icon Miley Cyrus.
Miley Cyrus, whose impact on the music and entertainment industries continues to grow, shared a heartfelt response to the honor. Posting a nostalgic clip from her film Something Beautiful, she expressed gratitude for the recognition and reflected on her journey from childhood dreams to stardom. Cyrus recalled visiting Hollywood Boulevard with her father during their early trips from Nashville and walking unnoticed among the tourist shops filled with souvenirs. Now, with her own star to be embedded on the same boulevard, she called the moment a dream come true and thanked everyone in her life who played a role in making it possible. She noted that this honor is something she shares with all those who supported her throughout her journey.
Alongside Cyrus, many notable figures from various corners of the entertainment industry have been selected for this prestigious recognition. The motion pictures category includes acclaimed names such as Emily Blunt, Timothée Chalamet, Rami Malek, Rachel McAdams, and Deepika Padukone, marking her as one of the few Indian actors to receive the honor. Other film honorees include Demi Moore, Stanley Tucci, Marion Cotillard, Keith David, and director Chris Columbus.
The television category features celebrated personalities like Sarah Michelle Gellar, Gordon Ramsay, Robin Roberts, Bradley Whitford, and George Stephanopoulos. In the realm of live performance, comedian Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias and Broadway star Lea Salonga have been named.
In the recording category, musicians and groups from diverse backgrounds are being honored. Along with Miley Cyrus, artists such as Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Josh Groban, Air Supply, and The Clark Sisters will be awarded stars. Latin music legends Grupo Intocable and Angélique Kidjo are also among the honorees.
Rounding out the list, NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal is the lone recipient in the sports entertainment category, receiving a second star to commemorate his contributions beyond basketball, including his successful career in broadcasting and entertainment.
This year’s list represents a wide spectrum of talent and influence, and as preparations begin for the upcoming ceremonies, fans and industry members alike are already celebrating the achievements of these stars who will now be permanently recognized on one of the most iconic sidewalks in the world.
