Adam Mondschein, who portrayed Doctor Dunbar in It Ends With Us, has publicly addressed the claims made by Blake Lively in her sexual harassment lawsuit regarding an intimate birthing scene involving his character. In a statement to Page Six, Mondschein emphasized that his experience on set was entirely professional and differed significantly from Lively’s account in her lawsuit.

Lively’s lawsuit alleges that Justin Baldoni, the director, cast his “best friend” to play the role of the OBGYN in the birth scene, despite the fact that such a small role would typically be filled by a local actor. She claimed that the proximity of Mondschein’s face and hands to her “nearly nude genitalia” during the scene was invasive and humiliating.

However, Mondschein refuted this by clarifying that Lively was not “nearly nude” as she claimed. He stated that she wore a full hospital gown, black shorts, and a torso-covering prosthetic to simulate pregnancy, alongside any personal garments she chose to wear. He further noted that Lively never expressed discomfort or concerns about the scene, maintaining that everything was conducted in a professional and respectful manner.

Additionally, Mondschein addressed Lively’s insinuations about his qualifications, explaining that his credentials were easily verifiable online. He also pointed out that he was a local hire and, like all performers in similar roles, was responsible for his own travel and living expenses during the job.

Mondschein expressed his intention to testify in the upcoming trial, pledging to be honest and transparent, with all the legal protections that such testimony entails. He reiterated that nothing improper or unusual took place during the filming of the scene, further asserting that Lively’s portrayal of the situation was not accurate.
