The Jonas family came out in full support for Nick Jonas at the opening performance of The Last Five Years on Broadway on Sunday, April 6. Nick starred in the two-person musical alongside Tony Award winner Adrienne Warren. This limited first-ever production is based on Jason Robert Brown’s book The Last Five Years, and Nick, who made his Broadway debut at just 7 years old, had his entire family by his side at the premiere.
Nick’s brothers, Joe and Kevin Jonas, were both present on the red carpet, alongside their youngest sibling Frankie Jonas, who brought his girlfriend Anna Olson as his date. Kevin, who has been married to Danielle Jonas for nearly 15 years, attended the event with his wife, and they share two daughters, Alena Rose (11) and Valentina Angelina (8). Nick’s wife, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, was also there, and the couple, who married in December 2018, coordinated their outfits with matching suits. They have a 3-year-old daughter, Malti, and the pair posed together on the red carpet.
Nick’s parents, Kevin Jonas Sr. and Denise Jonas, as well as his grandmother Frances Madonia, also attended to cheer on Nick’s performance in this milestone Broadway role.
The Last Five Years tells the story of a couple’s relationship from two different perspectives and timelines. Adrienne Warren’s character, Cathy, narrates the story after the marriage has ended, while Nick’s character, Jaime, narrates the beginning of their romance.
The musical had its Off-Broadway premiere in 2002, with Norbert Leo Butz and Sherie Rene Scott in the lead roles, and both of them were present at Sunday’s premiere. Additionally, the stars of the 2013 Off-Broadway revival, Adam Kantor and Betsy Wolfe, were also on the red carpet.
This premiere wasn’t the first time Nick’s brothers showed their support. Both Kevin and Joe attended his initial performance when the musical began previews on March 18, proving that family continues to play a huge role in Nick’s Broadway journey.
