Hailey Bieber has opened up for the first time since welcoming her son, Jack Blues Bieber, with husband Justin Bieber on August 22. However, in her recent interview with WWD, the 27-year-old model chose to focus on her burgeoning beauty brand, Rhode, rather than her new role as a mother.

Hailey Bieber’s candid interview:

Speaking candidly about her business, Bieber discussed the challenges of running her brand and the determination needed to navigate its ups and downs. “Mistakes are going to happen,” Bieber acknowledged. “[There] will be bumps in the road, which are out of your control, but you need to pivot, run, and work with them as they come.” Despite the hurdles, the model remains steadfast in her vision for Rhode, which continues to make strides in the beauty industry.

A key highlight of the interview was Bieber’s excitement about her latest collaboration with legendary 90s supermodel Claudia Schiffer, who has been chosen as the face of Rhode’s newest product, Barrier Butter. The intensive nighttime moisturizing balm is designed to restore and protect skin, and Bieber believes Schiffer’s enduring legacy as a model perfectly aligns with Rhode’s mission to create products that “transcend generations.”

“Claudia’s iconic status is immediate,” Bieber shared. She also added that Claudia’s reach and impact extends across different age groups, and she is someone Bieber has admired for a long time. Bieber revealed that Schiffer had been a source of inspiration from the early days of Rhode, with her imagery featuring prominently on the brand’s mood boards.

In addition to her skincare innovations, Bieber expressed her enthusiasm for integrating beauty with technology, following the success of the Rhode Lip Case. The product, designed for iPhones, incorporates a space for the brand’s popular Peptide Lip Treatment. “I would love to continue playing in the world of tech merch,” she said, hinting at future ventures that could combine both beauty and functionality.

Bieber also announced Rhode’s expansion into the UK, with the launch of a pop-up store in London, further solidifying her brand’s international reach. Despite her recent transition into motherhood, Bieber’s focus on growing Rhode and pushing the boundaries of beauty innovation remains at the forefront of her career.
