Gwyneth Paltrow and Timothée Chalamet are set to star together in Marty Supreme, and while many fans are eagerly anticipating their on-screen chemistry, not everyone is thrilled—particularly Chalamet’s girlfriend, Kylie Jenner. According to The Sun, Jenner was reportedly upset after Paltrow’s recent remarks about the film’s intimate scenes.
During an interview with Vanity Fair, Paltrow shared her experience working on intimate scenes with Chalamet, even revealing that at one point, she and the actor asked the film’s intimacy coordinator to step aside. She admitted that she wasn’t familiar with the role of intimacy coordinators, joking that back in her day, actors just “got naked, got in the bed, and the camera rolled.”
These comments reportedly didn’t go over well with Jenner. Sources close to the couple told The Sun that the beauty mogul was angry after reading Paltrow’s interview and that she has long been uneasy about Chalamet doing intimate scenes in his movies. The insider claimed that the Kardashians star has confronted Chalamet multiple times about it, insisting she doesn’t want him to do any more sex scenes going forward.
Chalamet, however, is reportedly fine with doing those kinds of roles—it’s part of his job as an actor. The source claimed that Kylie “doesn’t appreciate all the details” and wants to set boundaries regarding his work.
Marty Supreme, directed by Josh Safdie, is based on the real-life story of Marty Reisman, a legendary table tennis champion known as much for his flair and flamboyance as for his skill. Chalamet takes on the lead role, with Paltrow playing a major character alongside him. The film is scheduled for release on December 25, 2025, and is already drawing attention for more than just its storyline.
