Gwyneth Paltrow has shared her thoughts on Meghan Markle’s foray into the lifestyle influencer world, particularly the launch of her brand As Ever and her Netflix series With Love, Meghan. In her April 2025 Vanity Fair cover story, Paltrow, who herself is no stranger to the lifestyle brand world as the founder of Goop, took a supportive stance, saying, “Everybody deserves an attempt at everything that they want to try.” Her comments reflect a positive attitude toward other women pursuing their ambitions.

Paltrow also shared some insight into how she was raised to view other women not as competition, but as potential allies. She recalled her mother, actress Blythe Danner, teaching her that there is “more than enough to go around” and encouraging her not to see other women as rivals. This philosophy has clearly shaped Paltrow’s outlook on Meghan’s ventures.

In the interview, Paltrow mentioned how she lives close to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, but noted that although she had met Meghan, she doesn’t know her personally. However, Paltrow joked that perhaps one day she might get past the royal couple’s security detail and deliver a homemade pie to them.

As for Meghan Markle’s decision to rebrand her lifestyle business, she revealed that American Riviera Orchard, her initial choice for the brand name, was limiting, as it restricted her to only manufacturing products tied to the region. As Ever, her new brand, represents a broader concept of eternity, something Meghan expressed in an Instagram post.

Markle’s lifestyle show, With Love, Meghan, has proven successful, with the series being renewed for a second season after strong viewership.
