Reflecting on their whirlwind relationship, which began on the set of Legends of the Fall in 1994, Paltrow described Pitt as “a very intriguing character” and compared him to “Prince William or something,” alluding to the royal’s iconic status.
Paltrow also shared a personal anecdote from their time together, recalling a moment when Pitt surprised her on her birthday while she was filming in the English countryside. Despite her grueling schedule of 20-hour workdays, Pitt showed up for her during a brief 12-hour break. At the time, Paltrow was concerned that a producer would spin her need for rest into a negative story, potentially hurting her reputation in the industry.
The couple got engaged in December 1996, but after six months, they ended their relationship. Paltrow went on to marry Coldplay’s Chris Martin, and after their divorce, she married Brad Falchuk in 2018. As for Pitt, he married Jennifer Aniston in 2000, but they split in 2005. He later had a high-profile relationship with Angelina Jolie, whom he married in 2014 before they divorced in 2016. Pitt is currently rumored to be dating jewelry designer Ines de Ramon, with whom he’s been linked since 2022.
