Graham’s dire prediction: U.S. security at risk of 9/11-style attack under current leadership

Senator Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., issued a stark warning on “Fox News Sunday,” predicting that the United States could face a 9/11-style attack if President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris continue to steer U.S. foreign policy. Graham’s comments reflect a growing concern over national security amid escalating global tensions.

During his appearance, Graham cited Iran’s increasing belligerence and the administration’s handling of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine as primary sources of his worry. “I’ve never been more worried about a nuclear breakout by Iran than I am right now,” Graham said. He criticized the Biden administration’s policies, suggesting that the withdrawal from Afghanistan and a “broken border” have exacerbated the threat of terrorism within the U.S.

The Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD) has similarly expressed concerns about Iran’s nuclear capabilities, estimating that the regime could potentially develop a nuclear weapon before the next presidential inauguration in January 2025. The FDD has warned that while U.S. officials focus on Iran’s uranium enrichment, the regime is also covertly advancing its nuclear weapon capabilities.

Graham also condemned the administration’s approach to the Ukraine conflict, describing the U.S. response as “slow” and accusing the Biden administration of lacking an effective plan to end the war. He urged for a more proactive role in negotiations between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“The entire world is on fire, and Harris’s fingerprints are all over this,” Graham added, referring to Vice President Kamala Harris’s involvement in the administration’s foreign policy decisions.

In recent developments, President Biden met with U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer to discuss whether Ukraine should be allowed to use long-range missiles against targets within Russia. This discussion has further heightened tensions, with Russian President Vladimir Putin warning that such actions could be seen as a declaration of war by NATO, the U.S., and the U.K.

As global conflicts intensify, Graham’s warnings underscore the critical debates surrounding U.S. national security and foreign policy, as the nation grapples with complex and evolving threats.
