Gigi Hadid is known for her bold and ever-evolving style, and she recently surprised everyone with a silver blonde hair transformation at the Le Grand Dîner du Louvre in Paris back in March. The striking new look caused quite a stir, with fans and attendees “freaking out” over the change. However, during an April 8 appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Hadid revealed that the transformation wasn’t real—it was all thanks to a wig.
Hadid told Fallon that she had a lot of fun with the look, noting how people were so surprised by the dramatic change. “Everyone was freaking out,” she said, enjoying the reactions she got. The silver hair was a key part of her ensemble for the evening, which also featured two Moschino dresses that had been “Frankenstein’ed together” to create a unique, asymmetrical gown. Hadid explained that she went all out for the gala, adding, “Sometimes you just have to go there with the whole thing.”
Back on The Tonight Show, Hadid returned to her usual dark blonde hair, styled in a chic, sleek bun with a flick framing her face. She wore a sophisticated outfit consisting of a blue shirt tucked into formal pants, completing the look with her signature style.
At the fundraising gala, which honored the Louvre Museum’s exhibit, Hadid’s gown sparkled in silver and gold tones, beautifully complementing the silver bob hairstyle she wore for the night. Her look was finished off with golden jewelry that matched the gold details of her dress. Hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos was responsible for the hair transformation, adding to the overall glam of the ensemble.
In addition to her Paris trip, Hadid also shared a sweet story about a recent outing with her 4-year-old daughter, Khai, at Medieval Times in New Jersey. Hadid mentioned how Khai was totally immersed in the experience, especially enjoying the chicken. “She ate so much chicken!” Hadid laughed. Despite the swords and medieval elements, Khai was unphased and had a blast. “She was rocking on,” Hadid fondly recalled, adding that her daughter wasn’t at all nervous about the weapons or the medieval setting.
