Linebacker Germaine Pratt has quickly found a new team after being released by the Las Vegas Raiders. The Indianapolis Colts are signing him to a one-year deal, reuniting him with his former Cincinnati Bengals defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo, who is now with the Colts.

Reports from NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport noted that four other teams showed interest in Pratt, but he ultimately chose Indianapolis, a team currently holding a 4-1 record.

Pratt had been let go by the Bengals during the offseason before joining the Raiders in free agency. He started the first four games of the season for Las Vegas but was ruled out of Week 5’s game against the Colts for personal reasons. Raiders coach Pete Carroll described the absence as a personnel change at linebacker, which may have contributed to Pratt’s release.

During his four games with the Raiders, Pratt recorded 25 tackles, one tackle for loss, and two passes defensed. His Pro Football Focus grades were 56.7 overall, 53.6 in pass rush, 48.9 in run defense, and 64.3 in coverage.

The move gives Pratt a fresh opportunity to contribute to a strong Colts defense while rejoining a coach familiar with his playing style.
