Genshin Impact’s Version 4.6 Event Banners have stirred up some surprise and disappointment among players, particularly due to the unexpected lineup of 4-Star characters. While 5-Star characters typically steal the spotlight in determining the popularity of Event Banners, the inclusion of certain 4-Star characters can significantly impact the appeal, especially for starter accounts.
Arlecchino, a new playable character introduced in Version 4.6, is poised to shake up the meta as a Pyro Polearm user and Fatui Harbinger. With her role as a hypercarry, players are already theorycrafting team compositions to maximize her potential. However, the absence of key support characters like Chevreuse and Bennett from the Event Banners poses a challenge for players looking to optimize their teams.
Dear Traveler, the event wishes "The Hearth's Ashen Shadow," "Conjuring Chiaroscuro," and "Epitome Invocation" will be available on April 24!

Instead, the lineup for the first half of Version 4.6 includes familiar faces like Freminet and Lynette, alongside the new additions Lyney and Arlecchino. Surprisingly, Xiangling makes a return instead of Chevreuse, much to the disappointment of players hoping for her re-run. However, Xiangling’s value as an off-field Pyro applicator remains significant, especially for new accounts seeking reliable elemental reactions.
Despite the absence of Chevreuse, players can still experiment with Mono Pyro teams using Lynette, Xiangling, and Bennett, who unfortunately does not feature in the current lineup. The strategic implications of these character choices add depth to team-building discussions within the Genshin Impact community.
Looking ahead, Version 4.6 promises exciting updates with the introduction of the Remuria zone, new Artifact Sets, a Story Quest for Arlecchino and Cyno, and a new Trounce Domain. Additionally, the anticipation builds for Version 4.7, which will introduce Sethos, an Electro character from Sumeru, along with Sigewinne and Clorinde to further expand the game’s character roster.
As the Genshin Impact universe continues to evolve with each update, players eagerly await the challenges and discoveries that await them in the upcoming versions.
