General Dynamics has been awarded multiple U.S. Navy contracts totaling about $698 million. These contracts cover submarine development and space defense systems.

General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton, Connecticut, received $642.3 million for Lead Yard Support and development studies on Virginia-class submarines. Most of the work will take place in Groton, with small portions in North Carolina, Virginia, and Rhode Island. The project is expected to finish by April 2026. Funding comes from a mix of Navy shipbuilding and research budgets.

In another award, Electric Boat received $42.4 million for Virginia-class submarine parts and specialized materials, including initial spares. This work is also in Groton and will run through March 2030.

General Dynamics Mission Systems in Scottsdale, Arizona, secured $13.4 million for the proliferated warfighter space architecture program. This includes ground management, integration, and sustainment work. The contract increases the total program value to $1.17 billion. Work will take place in Arizona, Alabama, and North Dakota, and is expected to complete by September 30, 2028.

The Navy’s Naval Sea Systems Command manages the submarine contracts, while the Space Development Agency oversees the space architecture work.
