Gabriel Macht has shared his admiration for Rick Hoffman, particularly reflecting on their time working together on Suits. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Macht recalled a hilarious scene from the final season of Suits, where Donna and Harvey find Louis at home in only his underwear. The scene, which had fans laughing, also left the actors struggling to maintain composure.
Macht fondly remembered the behind-the-scenes moments, saying, “Rick is such a talented actor. He’s got so much range, and for the first few years, I had a very hard time keeping a straight face. He made me laugh all the time.” One memorable moment was when Harvey asks Louis about his “weird underpants,” and Louis casually explains he’s wearing a “mankini,” which only added to the humor.
Macht laughed as he recalled Rick’s playful responses during filming, often saying, “Dude, it’s my coverage,” and how difficult it was not to laugh at Hoffman’s antics. He mentioned that despite his attempts to hold it in, he couldn’t help but admire Hoffman’s comedic timing, adding, “I tortured him by laughing in his face all the time because I just think he’s amazing.”
Their characters, Harvey and Louis, had a dynamic that evolved over the course of the series. Initially annoyed by each other, they eventually developed a deep friendship by season 9.
With Hoffman returning to reprise his role as Louis Litt in the Suits spinoff series, Suits L.A., fans are eager to see how Louis will fit into the new storyline, especially with Ted Black leading the charge.
