Australian singer Firerose has broken her silence on her headline-making divorce from country music star Billy Ray Cyrus. In an emotional interview with Stellar published on October 12, the 37-year-old opened up about the emotional toll of their tumultuous marriage, revealing how it left her “terrified” and “baffled”
Firerose recounted a pivotal moment in their relationship that made her realize things were falling apart. “We went to bed together, and when I woke up, he wasn’t there,” she shared. Although Cyrus was known to give her the silent treatment, this time was different—he left the house entirely and didn’t return for the entire night. “I was alone on the farm by myself, with no security lights on,” she recalled, feeling terrified and abandoned.

However, their union quickly unraveled, with Cyrus filing for an annulment in June 2024, citing “irreconcilable differences” and “inappropriate marital conduct.”
