Finn Wolfhard recently opened up about his decision to move back in with his family, revealing that home truly is his happy place. In a chat with People magazine, the Stranger Things star shared that after living on his own for about two years, he decided to move back in with his family for a while.
The actor, known for his role in It Chapter Two, explained that last year he spent a year living alone in Atlanta while filming Stranger Things, but after that, he returned to Vancouver to live with his family again.
Wolfhard emphasized that their home in Vancouver offers everyone their own “separate space,” yet they all live together, and he described it as “great.” He explained that having his family around is important to him, especially given how much time he spends away working. “I rarely get to see my family. I think it’s a nice home base to have, just because if I’m going to be away for most of the year working, then I might as well have a place [to come back to] with my parents,” he said.
Born in 2002, Wolfhard is the son of Eric Wolfhard and Mary Jolivet, and he was raised in Vancouver. His older brother, Nick, is also involved in show business.
On the professional front, Wolfhard recently starred in Hell of a Summer, which he not only acted in but also co-directed with Billy Bryk. The film features a talented cast, including Fred Hechinger, Pardis Saremi, Abby Quinn, and others.
Fans of Wolfhard will also get to see him in the much-anticipated final season of Stranger Things, which is expected to be released sometime later this year.
