F1 Miami Grand Prix 2024: Here’s Why Ferrari will be sporting blue livery and driver suits in Miami

This one-off design showcases blue sections on the traditionally red car, with drivers Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc donning light-blue suits in the cockpit.

The choice of blue hues, officially named Azzurro La Plata and Azzurro Dino, holds deep symbolic significance. Azzurro La Plata pays homage to former Ferrari driver Alberto Ascari, who clinched back-to-back driver’s championships in 1952 and 1953, donning a blue jersey and helmet for good luck. Similarly, Niki Lauda, Lorenzo Bandini, and Clay Regazzoni, among others, also sported variations of this distinctive blue during their time with the team.
