With a modest budget of $9 million, the film has already recouped half of its production expenses, positioning it as a potential standout indie hit for the year. Despite landing in fourth place on the box office charts behind juggernauts like “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire” ($45.2 million) and the ongoing success of “Dune: Part 2” (which has surpassed $240 million domestically), “Immaculate” has made a significant impact with its impressive box office performance.
Critically, “Immaculate” received a mixed reception, earning a 73% positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes with an average score of 6.4/10. Helmed by director Michael Mohan and penned by screenwriter Andrew Lobel, the film boasts a talented ensemble cast including Sydney Sweeney, Álvaro Morte, Benedetta Porcaroli, Dora Romano, Giorgio Colangeli, and Simona Tabasco.
