Donald Trump once said everyone should ignore the Epstein files and called them a Democrat hoax. Now he suddenly wants them released. This switch feels just as suspicious as his earlier one.
Many people believe the Epstein files may contain more information that could seriously harm Trump. The parts already public show he was close to Epstein. They also suggest he knew about Epstein’s disturbing behaviour. Some even think Trump might have been directly involved in the abuse.
In less than a month the files must be shared with the public in a simple and searchable way. But one lawmaker has already seen them. New Mexico Congresswoman Melanie Stansbury says Trump’s name appears again and again.
She says she studied the files closely. She claims they talk about a past case where Trump was accused of raping a thirteen year old at Epstein’s house. She says the files also mention a subpoena for Trump in one of Epstein’s rape and abuse cases. According to her, Trump was subpoenaed and questioned. She adds that the files include messages between Trump, Ghislaine Maxwell and Mr Wolff. Epstein even says in these messages that he has photos of Trump with girls.
The story about the thirteen year old connects to a girl known as Jane Doe. She first filed a case in California in 2016. She accused Trump and Epstein of rape. She later withdrew the case because she said she received threatening calls. She then filed again in New York saying Trump raped her once. In her statement she said she begged Trump to stop and he hit her and kept going. She also said Trump threatened to harm or kill her and her family if she spoke about it.
The suits also claimed Trump had sexual contact with her on three other occasions. But she again dropped the case in November 2016 because she was scared.
No one yet knows the full truth of what happened. But many people want to know how Epstein and the people around him talked about this case in private. And if the photos Epstein mentioned are real, people will definitely start searching for them.
