After a dramatic and fashion-filled ride through Paris and a recent detour in Rome, the next leg of Emily Cooper’s journey will unfold amid the canals and classic architecture of Italy’s lagoon city. According to reports, filming in Venice is scheduled to take place between August 5 and 15, and the local administration is already touting the potential for heightened global attention.
Luca Zaia, the governor of the Veneto region, confirmed the news, noting that the show’s presence in Venice will boost tourism and international appeal. He also mentioned that Netflix is working closely with the Veneto Film Commission and local production house 360 Degrees Film to finalize the logistics and scout specific filming locations. Given Venice’s cinematic charm, fans can expect some breathtaking visuals and iconic fashion moments as the series leans further into its European escapades.
The renewal of Season 5 came shortly after the conclusion of Season 4, which left viewers with plenty of unresolved questions. The finale saw Lily Collins’ Emily being appointed head of Agence Grateau’s new Rome office by Sylvie. At the same time, tensions and romantic twists continued to evolve—especially between Gabriel and Camille, as well as Emily and her complicated love interests. Though the central character has now established herself professionally in Rome, the heart of the series continues to beat for Paris, and the creators have made it clear that she’ll maintain a presence in both cities.
Lily Collins, in a previous chat with Tudum, confirmed that Emily’s Rome stint doesn’t mean she’s leaving Paris behind entirely. “Emily’s going to have a presence in Rome. It doesn’t mean she’s not going to be in Paris,” she shared, hinting at a more jet-setting season where viewers might get to enjoy the contrast of Italy’s ancient grandeur with the modern vibrancy of Paris.
