The streaming giant posted a teaser video showing Lily Collins with a fresh new haircut walking alongside a new character, Marcello (played by Eugenio Franceschini). The caption read: “lights, camera, amore. EMILY IN PARIS: SEASON 5 is now in production!”
Season 5 picks up right after Season 4’s cliffhanger, with Emily relocating from Paris to Italy, specifically the charming fictional village of Solitano. This move comes after Sylvie offers Emily a key role in Agence Grateau’s new Italian office. Marcello, her new love interest, is introduced as the heir to a luxury cashmere brand.
Most of the core cast returns, including Lily Collins, Lucas Bravo (Gabriel), Ashley Park (Mindy), Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu (Sylvie), Samuel Arnold, Bruno Gouery, William Abadie, and Lucien Laviscount (Alfie). However, Camille Razat, who played Camille, will not be back this season.
While no official word yet on new characters taking center stage, Season 4 teased Geneviève, a potential rival for Emily. Geneviève, rumored to be the daughter of famed French director Luc Besson, has yet to sign on for Season 5.
Lucas Bravo, who plays chef Gabriel, recently expressed dissatisfaction with his character’s development, saying he feels the “sexy chef” persona has drifted away from him as the story progressed. Despite this, he is confirmed to return, though his storyline with Emily remains open-ended. Alfie’s arc got closure in Season 4, as he moves forward with a new partner.
Season 5 is expected to premiere on Netflix in the fourth quarter of 2025.
