Elon Musk has opened a brand new Tesla diner in Hollywood, California. It’s located at 7001 Santa Monica Boulevard, and it’s not just a restaurant. It’s a place where people can eat, watch movies, and charge their Tesla cars all at the same time. Musk shared a video of it on his social media platform X, calling it a place for good food, good vibes, and entertainment while your car charges.
The diner has a futuristic look with seating on the roof and two giant screens in the parking lot. The parking area also has Tesla superchargers, so you can plug in your car while you enjoy your time there. Musk calls it a “retro-futuristic diner,” meaning it mixes old-school diner style with modern technology.
This new Tesla Diner officially opened on July 21. According to those who have visited, the place has 80 Tesla superchargers, two large LED movie screens, and a menu with classic American food like burgers, hot dogs, fries, wings, and milkshakes. You can even stay inside your car and sync the sound of the movie with your Tesla’s speakers. Ordering food can also be done directly from the screen inside the car.
This is the first time a car company has opened a full diner connected to charging stations. Tesla has already built more than 30,000 superchargers in the US, but people still worry about finding places to charge and having to wait too long. This new idea could change that by making the wait enjoyable instead of boring.
Elon Musk also said that if this first location goes well, Tesla may open more of these diners in other big cities and on popular road trip routes. That means in the future, charging your car might not just be a task, but a fun part of the journey.
