EastEnders boss Ben Wadey has hinted at what’s next for Ravi Gulati in 2026. The character has had a dramatic year, including storylines about Avani Nandra-Hart’s pregnancy with Joel Marshall’s baby, a love triangle with Denise Fox and Jack Branning, and a continuing drugs plot.
Strapped for cash, Ravi turned to Nicola Mitchell to get information on a dealer and began distributing drugs around Walford. This had devastating effects for her son Harry. He was asked to store Ravi’s drugs in The Arches, but when his friend Kojo found them, he flushed them down the toilet. Both were then forced to deal for Ravi, while Tobias “Okie” Okyere took over the operation and held Harry hostage. During this time, Harry became dependent on drugs Okie was giving him.
After Okie was killed, Ravi avoided the consequences by agreeing to be a police informant.
Ben Wadey said the fallout from these events will take a toll on Ravi’s mental health. He explained that the story will explore how Ravi’s past actions affect him and his family.
The storyline will also focus on Harry Mitchell, who will seek revenge. Wadey teased that this plot kicks off early in the New Year, leaving viewers wondering what Harry will do and if Ravi will be able to handle the consequences.
