Dwayne Johnson recently honored his father, Rocky Johnson, on what would have been his 80th birthday. Sharing unseen and rare photos on social media, the actor also wrote a heartfelt caption remembering his late father.

Rocky Johnson, the legendary wrestler and father of the Jumanji star, passed away at 75 in 2020. Dwayne reflected on the complex love his dad showed him, writing, “He raised me with a tough and complex love. But at least I had love, ya know?” He also acknowledged the struggles of reconciling with a father who’s no longer around, noting, “Hard to reconcile stuff with your dad when he’s no longer here—but nonetheless, regardless of challenges or any struggle, my dad was a ‘life adapter,’ and he taught me to be the same. Work hard and adapt.”

In the post, Johnson expressed gratitude for the lessons his father taught him and shared intimate moments from their life together, capturing both fun memories and touching father-son interactions.

On the professional front, Dwayne is preparing for his upcoming film, The Smashing Machine, where he will portray MMA fighter Mark Kerr in a biopic exploring the highs and lows of his life.
