Dua Lipa has officially confirmed her engagement to actor Callum Turner, and she’s clearly over the moon about it. In a heartfelt interview with British Vogue released on June 12, Dua opened up about the special moment and the thoughtful ring that now sits on her finger. Sharing her joy, she said, “Yeah, we’re engaged. It’s very exciting.” What makes the ring even more meaningful is that Callum didn’t choose it alone—he collaborated with Dua’s sister and her best friends to help design it, making it deeply personal. Dua couldn’t hide her excitement, saying, “I’m obsessed with it. It’s so me.” For her, the gesture showed just how deeply Callum understands her, and that emotional connection means everything.
What sets Dua’s engagement ring apart is its bold design, breaking away from the more traditional and delicate diamond styles that many celebrities tend to wear. Instead of a classic solitaire on a thin band, hers features a wide, eye-catching cigar band with the diamond set low into the gold, giving it a sleek, modern appearance that matches her edgy yet elegant aesthetic. Jewelry designer Susie Saltzman described it as likely featuring a round brilliant or old European cut, set either in a semi-bezel, tension, or possibly even a full bezel setting. She explained that the diamond is almost flush with the band, offering a bold contrast to the dainty ring trends that have dominated celebrity engagements in recent years.
As for how much this one-of-a-kind ring might cost, experts have given a range of estimates. Saltzman believes it could be worth anywhere between $65,000 and $125,000, based on factors like diamond weight, shape, and quality. She estimates the stone is a natural diamond weighing between 2.5 and 3 carats. On the higher end, Laura Taylor from Lorel Diamonds guessed the ring could be valued at $200,000 to $270,000, especially if the diamond weighs closer to 4 carats and is of exceptional quality.
Dua and Callum’s love story began at London’s River Cafe, where they first met. Though nothing sparked right away, fate stepped in a year later when they bumped into each other at a restaurant in Los Angeles. Dua immediately recognized him, recalling, “Oh, it’s that really hot guy from The River Cafe.” From that point on, small signs and shared moments—like reading the same book—made her feel certain he was the one. With her heart fully in it, she said, “I was like, one thousand percent, this is my guy.” Now, with a unique ring on her finger and love in her heart, Dua is stepping into a new chapter of life, full of excitement and certainty.
