Canadian rapper and singer Drake has faced plastic surgery rumours for years. Every time he posts a shirtless photo showing off his toned body, fans debate whether his physique is natural or the result of cosmetic work. Recently, he spoke about a selfie he shared months ago that stirred up a lot of attention. While some fans admired his six-pack, others accused him of altering his body.
Drake addressed these rumours during an appearance on Bobbi Althoff’s podcast, Not This Again. The discussion came after a June 2025 mirror selfie showing his defined abs and tattoos. Some online critics suggested he had undergone an “abdominal etching” procedure, a cosmetic surgery that uses liposuction to create a sculpted look.
The host mentioned fans’ curiosity, asking if he had any work done. Drake denied the rumours but joked about the idea of having a Brazilian Butt Lift, saying people even called him “BBL Drizzy.” He laughed off the speculation, keeping his humorous tone.
Although he denied plastic surgery, Drake admitted he digitally edited the viral six-pack photo using apps like Facetune. He explained that he came from the gym and was sweaty in the photo, but then enhanced details digitally. He confessed that he went a little overboard with the editing, adjusting the saturation and other elements. He laughed about it on the podcast, saying he was “just being honest” and clarifying that his abs don’t actually look like they did in the picture.
In short, Drake’s body is natural, but the viral photo that sparked controversy was digitally enhanced, not surgically altered.
