Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, also known as Dragon Age 4, is an upcoming fantasy RPG being developed by BioWare. It’s been nearly ten years since the last main installment, Dragon Age: Inquisition, was released, and fans have eagerly awaited a new addition to the series.

Dragon Age: Dreadwolf will return players to the world of Thedas, where the stakes are high as the antagonist, the Dreadwolf (previously known as Solas), aims to bring down the barrier separating reality from the world of magic.

While specific details about the game are limited, a teaser trailer released in late 2023 hinted at a “full reveal” planned for summer 2024. The game is expected to be available on Xbox Series X, PS5, and PC.

The trailer showcased new locations, including Antiva, Rivain, and the Anderfels, and hinted at a darker tone for the game. Solas, a key character from Dragon Age: Inquisition, is expected to play a significant role as the main antagonist.

The game’s mechanics and gameplay details are still largely unknown, but BioWare has hinted at a non-linear skill tree system that will offer more customization options for character progression.

Recent updates from BioWare revealed that the game has reached its alpha milestone, indicating that it is playable from start to finish. However, there is still work to be done in terms of polishing narrative and gameplay features.
