After waiting for 6 years since the wild debut of the anime in 2020, Dorohedoro Season two is finally here (April 1st, 2026). Dorohedoro is an anime based on the dark fantasy manga by Q Hayashida. It takes the great dark fantasy genre and adds gore, black humour, curses, and surreal violence, all set in the dystopian hole (a 만큼).

Studio MAPPA is in charge of the show once again, with Yuichiro Hayashi back as the director (Attack on Titan final season), along with Hiroshi Seko as series composer, and Tomohiro Kishi as character designer. The soundtrack was produced by (K)NoW_NAME and includes a song from each opening, “Zettai MUST Danmen”, and ending “Return To Head”. The recent trailer suggests even more extreme battles, even more secrets, and a larger presence of the Cross-Eyes gang.

Dorohedoro Season 2: Returning Cast

Wataru Takagi as Caiman (the lizard-headed amnesiac seeking revenge)
– Reina Kondo as Nikaido (his tough sorcerer partner)
– Kenyu Horiuchi as En
– Yoshimasa Hosoya as Shin
– Yu Kobayashi as Noi

New voices for the Cross-Eyes faction include Koki Uchiyama as Dokuga and others.

Dorohedoro Season 2: Plot Tease

In season 2 of Dorohedoro, they will continue to follow Caiman and Nikaido as they search for the truth about Caiman’s cursed transformation and the sorcerers who are behind it. They will delve deeper into the underworld of the Hole, En’s criminal organization, and the mysterious boss Cross-Eyes; all while enjoying more body horror, magical fighting, gyoza obsession, and the surprises that will keep true to the manga.

The entire season will be available to stream worldwide at the same time on Netflix and Crunchyroll with weekly episodes (possibly 11-12). The production of all episodes is done, so delays aren’t going to happen. There’s also a “Dorohedoro in 10 Minutes” recap for those new to the series.

If you enjoy gritty, crazy, fast-paced action like Chainsaw Man, season 2 promises to deliver more insane chaos than you can handle! Be prepared — The Hole is reopening!
