Donna Kelce, mom to NFL stars Jason and Travis Kelce, is weighing in on her sons’ love lives—and she’s keeping it refreshingly honest. During a special Mother’s Day episode of Jason Kelce’s podcast, Donna joined her boys to chat about family, football, and yes—the girlfriends.
While chatting, Donna shared a funny little secret: she didn’t really know much about the women Jason dated. “Jason, you really didn’t bring a lot of ladies home,” she pointed out. Before Jason could chime in, Donna teased, “You dated, but I didn’t know any of them.” When it came to Travis, though, she said she had met maybe “one or two” women before Taylor Swift came into the picture.
That got a laugh out of Travis Kelce, who joked, “What? I didn’t have any girlfriends,” keeping things light-hearted and playful.
Donna went on to say that she didn’t really have much insight into either of her sons’ dating lives when they were in college. Jason admitted that he had quite a few girlfriends back then, which was news to mom! The banter made for some charming mother-son moments and a few good laughs.
But the conversation turned more heartfelt when Jason brought up Travis’s current relationship with Taylor Swift. He admitted that he could tell early on that this relationship was different. “You could see how much he really, really liked her from the start,” Jason said, adding that the intensity of Travis’s feelings right away was “eye-opening.”
Before his relationship with Taylor, Travis had been linked to sports journalist Kayla Nicole, but things have clearly moved in a new direction since he and the global pop star started dating in July 2023.
Since then, Travis and Taylor have been inseparable—traveling the globe together and supporting one another through tours and games. Travis has been spotted at many stops of Taylor’s Eras World Tour, cheering her on, while she’s returned the favor by attending several of his Kansas City Chiefs games.
Of course, Taylor Swift has had her fair share of high-profile romances over the years—with names like Harry Styles, Joe Alwyn, Matty Healy, and Tom Hiddleston in the mix. But fans and even family members seem to agree: there’s something especially real and different about what she shares with Travis.
