Former President Donald Trump stated that he plans to testify at the New York trial, wherein he has been accused of engaging in yearlong pattern of massive business fraud.

In a conversation with the reporters during the break time of the trial, former president shared that he will take the witness stand “at an appropriate time.”

He is named as one of the potential witness on the list submitted by his own attorneys, and by lawyers for New York Attorney General Letitia James, whose $250 million lawsuit is the subject of the trial.

Trump has occasionally attacked James and also the judge Arthur Engoron, who has been conducting this trial without jury.

On Tuesday, Engoron’s principal law clerk became target of Trump’s attacks as the latter took to his social media and shared a post that mentioned her full name and a photo of her posing with Senator Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, as they both smiled for the camera.

In his repost, Trump called the clerk, “Schumer’s girlfriend” and accused her of “running this case against [him].”
