In a candid Us Weekly interview, Kelly Osbourne, 40, opens up about her friendship with Simon Cowell, even with his complicated history with her mom, Sharon Osbourne. The two families have shared both professional and personal ties, with Cowell and Sharon’s history spanning multiple seasons of The X Factor and America’s Got Talent. Kelly appreciates Simon’s personality and perspective despite lingering tensions between Sharon and Cowell. “I’d never want to disrespect Simon. I like Simon,” Kelly explains, underscoring her decision to stay out of her mother’s past disagreements with him.
Conflicting family loyalty
