With every new Marvel project comes a flurry of casting rumors and speculations about the storyline. Deadpool 3 is no exception, and director Shawn Levy has confirmed that fans have actually hit the mark on some speculations.

Fans of the MCU can finally anticipate the Merc with a Mouth wreaking havoc in their timeline, as Deadpool 3 will integrate Ryan Reynolds’ irreverent anti-hero into the Marvel universe. What’s even more thrilling is that Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine will join him in this upcoming Marvel installment, and it seems there could be even more exciting guest appearances in store.

During an appearance on SiriusXM, Levy stated: “I love the proliferation of casting rumors on the internet because I never have to say what’s real and what’s fantasy, so I’m just going to go with the very cliche ‘no comment’ on all things casting… I will say we’re lucky on this one. There’s certainly — is this an answer? A lot of the internet rumors are completely false, but some of them aren’t.”

The most recent rumor circulating about the Marvel Phase 5 project suggests that Taylor Swift might make an appearance. It’s been speculated that the pop sensation could be an ideal fit for the role of the X-Men character, Dazzler, who is a mutant with musical abilities. It’s a plausible notion, isn’t it?

Levy gave a “no comment” on that matter as well, when speaking to The Wrap. Considering we’ve already seen musicians like Harry Styles and Megan Thee Stallion in Eternals and She-Hulk, respectively, it’s not too far-fetched to imagine another musician entering the multiverse in one of the upcoming movies.

There’s been strong speculation that Owen Wilson might transition from the Loki season 2 cast to Deadpool 3, as Mobius and the TVA could play a crucial role in the narrative that sees the titular character trapped in the MCU. When we spoke to Loki producer Kevin Wright, he hinted that the TVA will have a significant part in the “bigger universe,” so it’s quite likely we’ll see Mobius in the new Deadpool movie.

However, there’s a concern that things might become a bit overcrowded. It’s sincerely hoped that Levy and his team don’t overdo the cameos just because they can. Remember how Doctor Strange 2 had a slew of stars appear for the Illuminati scene, only to be dispatched a minute later, seemingly without any impact on the future of the MCU? Yeah, let’s avoid a repeat of that.
