During Sean Diddy Combs’ ongoing sex trafficking trial in New York, a supporter of the rapper caused a disruption on June 3 by shouting in the courtroom. The woman, who had been watching the trial from an overflow room, suddenly yelled at Combs and his defense team, expressing her loyalty and frustration with the proceedings. Court officers quickly removed her, restoring order within minutes, and the trial resumed without further interruptions.
Her outburst, which included statements like “Everyone is laughing at Diddy” and “People are trying to do you wrong,” briefly halted testimony and drew attention from jurors and legal staff. It appeared driven by her strong support for Combs and dissatisfaction with how the trial was unfolding.
Following the incident, testimony continued with former InterContinental Hotel security supervisor Eddy Garcia taking the stand. Garcia, who was testifying under an immunity agreement, recounted a 2016 episode involving Combs and his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura. Garcia described how Combs asked him to help obtain surveillance footage related to an assault on Ventura, expressing concern that the footage could ruin his career.
Though Garcia initially said he lacked the credentials to access the hotel’s server room, he later received a USB drive containing the footage and handed it to Combs after reporting the request to his supervisor. He signed a non-disclosure agreement with a \$1 million penalty for breach. Garcia also testified that Combs gave him \$100,000 to share with two other hotel employees and advised him not to make big purchases, presumably to avoid attracting attention.
