Recent rumors suggesting that Meghan Markle sent a gift box from her new lifestyle brand As Ever to King Charles have now been debunked. According to a source close to the Sussexes, the reported gesture “did not happen,” as confirmed by The Mirror.
The original claim, made by UK royal correspondent Neil Sean, alleged that a “sample box of delights” — including jams, honey, and crêpe mix — was delivered to Clarence House, the King’s residence, supposedly accompanied by a note. Sean described this as a subtle attempt by Meghan to extend an olive branch to her estranged royal in-laws.
Another royal commentator, Ian Pelham Turner, even weighed in, suggesting that Markle may be trying to show compassion during King Charles’s recent health struggles and potentially mend the fractured ties between Prince Harry, Prince William, and the monarch.
However, the Sussex camp swiftly shut down the narrative. A spokesperson reportedly told The Mirror, “This did not happen,” indicating the gift box story is baseless.
This rumor emerged just as Meghan has been back in headlines for multiple reasons — including the launch of her brand As Ever, and her Netflix series, With Love, Meghan.
One particular moment from the show sparked controversy online: during an episode with Mindy Kaling, the Suits actress playfully corrected her guest for repeatedly calling her “Meghan Markle,” saying, “You keep saying Meghan Markle. You know I’m Sussex now.” The clip, highlighting her pride in sharing a family name with her children, quickly went viral and reignited online debate around her public persona.
Despite ongoing media scrutiny, Meghan continues to push forward with her new projects, even as speculation about royal reconciliation continues to swirl.
