But on July 6, a spokesperson for Kim Sae Ron’s family said that he never confirmed any such thing. He explained that his words had been misunderstood or twisted. He also clearly said that no statements from the eight friends had ever been submitted or even planned.
This caused a lot of confusion online. Some people were shocked, especially those who believed the earlier reports. Many are now blaming the media for spreading false information.
