Justin Bieber has reportedly closed the chapter on his long-standing financial dispute with former manager Scooter Braun. As per TMZ’s recent update, the two have reached a settlement concerning both the canceled Justice Tour and unpaid commissions owed to Braun from various stages of Bieber’s career. The total repayment reportedly amounts to a staggering $31.5 million, which Bieber is believed to have fully cleared.

The conflict largely stemmed from Bieber’s abrupt cancellation of his Justice Tour. Originally, he had received a hefty $40 million advance from Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG) to fund the global tour. However, after shortening the tour in September 2022 and then canceling it altogether in February 2023 due to health concerns and other personal reasons, AEG demanded their money back. Caught in a financial bind, Bieber turned to Braun, who stepped in by securing a $26 million loan from HYBE, the South Korean agency known for managing BTS and previously linked with Braun’s Ithaca Holdings.

Bieber initially agreed to repay the amount in installments over a span of ten years. However, after making just one payment, he reportedly stopped the repayments altogether, igniting tensions with Braun. Alongside the repayment to AEG via HYBE, Bieber also owed Braun millions in back commissions—money Braun claimed he was entitled to from Bieber’s past earnings during their long professional relationship.

Out of the total $11 million that Braun was seeking in unpaid commissions, Bieber has now reportedly repaid around half. Interestingly, Braun has chosen to waive the remaining $8.6 million, despite the fallout between the two. Sources suggest that even though their relationship turned cold over the financial disagreement, Braun decided not to pursue the remaining dues.

The resolution of this financial feud comes amid widespread rumors of Bieber’s struggles with personal finances and management. However, by settling this major liability, the 31-year-old pop star seems to be signaling a new chapter—one where he’s taking control and tying up loose ends. Whether this signals a comeback or simply a personal regrouping remains to be seen, but this latest move certainly clears the deck for Bieber in a very public way.
