Drake recently revealed that he tried to reach out to Justin Bieber for a potential collaboration, but it seems like Bieber didn’t get the message. Over the weekend, the rapper shared that his attempt to contact Bieber through Instagram DMs went unanswered.
Bieber had posted on Instagram inviting artists to reach out to him for musical collaborations, writing, “DM me if u wanna make music together.” Drake, eager to join in, commented: “I DM’d but no reply,” which quickly caught the attention of fans and sparked online chatter.
Although Bieber hasn’t released a studio album in four years, reports suggest that Drake is already gearing up for his next album. Bieber’s team hasn’t commented on the situation yet, but the exchange between the two has created a buzz across social media. Some fans speculated that Drake’s comment might have been sarcastic, while others were left wondering if there’s some tension between the two.
This interaction is particularly notable given the history between Drake and Bieber. The two Canadian stars previously collaborated on the song “Right Here” from Bieber’s 2012 Believe album. However, rumors have circulated recently that Bieber unfollowed Drake on Instagram, fueling further speculation about the state of their relationship. Despite this, Drake still follows both Justin and Hailey Bieber on social media.
Bieber isn’t the only artist being approached for collaborations. Other musicians, including Jaden Smith, Big Sean, Kehlani, and Bailey Zimmerman, have also reportedly reached out to Bieber’s team. Bieber’s last album, Justice, released in 2021, featured artists like Khalid, Giveon, and Chance the Rapper.
Meanwhile, Drake’s latest single, “Nokia,” is climbing the charts, while Bieber has been making headlines for both his health issues and erratic behavior in recent months. Fans are still hoping for a reunion between the two musical giants, but for now, it seems that their collaboration remains uncertain.
